Beatriz Gorospe has been recently appointed to the post of director of the emblematic Castle of Monda Hotel and Restaurant, dominating the white village of Monda in the province of Malaga.

Beatriz Gorospe was appointed to the post of director at the beginning of February 2008. Converted into a hotel in 1996, the castle dates back to Roman and Phoenician times, and its unbeatable location affords guests fabulous views of the Guadalhorce Valley, the bay of Malaga, and even Sierra Nevada.

Beatriz Gorospe began to work at the Castle of Monda Hotel in 1996, when the property was bought from its English owner by Spanish investors.

The hotel’s complementary activities have featured a series of thematic evenings, which were inaugurated by the international renowned musician Felipe Campuzano, followed by jazz and opera evenings. Regarded as a unique venue, a number of clients have rented the castle exclusively for staging their events. The hotel also has a gourmet restaurant Al-Bacar, specialising in Mediterranean cuisine based on local seasonable produce.

The new director will be targeting the Spanish market, as well as English and Germans keen on heritage hotels. In addition, the hotel will be marketed as a business incentive venue with adventure sports, golf and horse riding as complementary activities.
