Big Increase in Spending Forecast for Online Advertising

According to a study recently by The Kelsey Group, the well-known American market research company, spending on local and regional online advertising will increase spectacularly the world over.

Constant increase in advertisers
These predictions are base on the fact that is an increasingly larger number of advertisers. It is estimated that local search engine ad spending will increase from 2,600 to 9,900 euros by 2010, whereas spending on online classified ads will increase from 9,400 to 13,800 million euros. In short, overall spending will double from 2005 to 2010.

Trends
Analysts expect advertising on general web sites to give way to increased spending on vertical portals.
