Condé Nast Johansens has published its 2012 edition of "Luxury Spas," showcasing the 101 most exclusive properties in the world.
The deluxe five-star Barcelo La Bobadilla has just received yet another award to add to its exclusive collection on being chosen as one of the four Spanish spas showcased in Condé Nast Johansens’ 2012 "Luxury Spas" guide. Each one of the spas included in this exclusive guide has been chosen for the variety of its treatments, customer service, exceptional facilities and accommodation, and its distinguished ambience.
In this new edition of "Luxury Spas," Condé Nast Johansens, one of the most trusted names in travel publishing, has included the world’s most select destinations, hotels and medical spas; 101, to be exact, from 35 countries. Spain is well represented by four properties, including the Barcelo La Bobadilla, thanks to its unmistakable hallmark of Spanish eco-charm.
The deluxe five-star Barcelo La Bobadilla, one of Andalusia’s most sustainable properties, features a Uspa centre oozing Spanish eco-charm, in line with the hotel’s philosophy and that of the natural surroundings in which the property is set. And the result? A welcoming space in which all the senses are awakened in a world full of different perceptions: temperature, water, light and sound.
The Spanish eco-charm concept is necessarily based on sustainability and environmental protection, without forgetting luxury. Along these lines, the Upsa centre manages to combine sophistication with sustainability. The reason? The hot water used in its facilities is heated with green energy, specifically biomass obtained from the olive stones from the properties own olive groves. This initiative has allowed the hotel to cut its CO2 emissions by 80%.
The combination of more personalized attention with a sophisticated and relaxing ambience (which is accessed by a passage lit with aromatic candles) means that all clients have to do is choose the eco-treatment that takes their fancy.
