After the recent success of the film Avatar, the same use of 3D projection technology has now been applied to advertising. Vodafone and BlackBerry’s recent campaign, called "Inside", has used the 3D projection technology outdoors, a format proving to be both attractive and cheap.

The ad campaign included the projection of a 3D film on a large screen in Madrid’s Plaza del Callao:

AV Medio was the company commissioned to screen the film because of its broad range of cutting-edge equipment. The 3D short film was screened, using two 20,000 lumen Barco FLM with polarized filters, on a high-gain Silverscreen – measuring 6.5x3.65m and reinforced for outdoor use – specially designed for screenings of this nature.

Parallel to the outdoor screening, the film was also screened for the press at a cinema nearby, using the same type of format, but with two CHRISTIE 8K and a 5.30x3m screen.

The choice of AV Medios for the job is due to the company’s long track record in the audiovisual industry and its 10 years of experience in using 3D projection technology.
