From 5-7 September, Marbella (Malaga) hosted the 19th Spain-United States Forum, an annual event attended by the members of the Spain-United States Foundation Council, and those of its counterpart, the United States-Spain Council, with the participation of leading private and public sector figures from both countries to discuss different issues of common interest. The forum was officially opened by the King and Queen of Spain and co-chaired by the Spaniard Juan Maria Nin and the American Senator Tim Kaine. This annual event is a civil society tool that has shown, since 1996, to be exceedingly useful for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, in general, and their economies, in particular.

During three days, the 200 or so people participating in the forum had a new opportunity to get to know and discuss aspects related to international security and its newest challenges, cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and collaboration at a university level, as well as the progress made in the negotiations of the Free Trade and Investment Agreement between the United States and the European Union.

Through its Andalusian delegation, >atlanta travel & corporate events consultants was named by the Spain-United States Foundation Council official agency and technical secretariat in charge of the event’s logistics, coordinating all the main services: accommodation for corporate leaders and authorities, transfers for the participants and their companions, catering, simultaneous translation, event staff, protocol, press office, and media relations and press conferences, in addition to designing the event’s image and website (XIX Spain-United States Forum) and registration management.
