Andalusian Congress Centres Host More than 50 Events in Q4 2011

In Q4 2011, the congress and tradeshow centres affiliated with AFCAN hosted 30 tradeshows and more than 20 congresses across all sectors, in addition to 20 shows and cultural events.

The congress and tradeshow centres affiliated with AFCAN (Andalusian Congress and Tradeshow Centre Association) have ended the meetings and event high season on a positive note. As to figures, they hosted 30 professional and general public tradeshows, most of which were held in October and November, featuring those related to fashion and complements – above all for weddings and social events – and to the outlet phenomenon. Other sectors included livestock, real estate, energy tourism, motor vehicles, brotherhoods, Manga and Christmas shows geared to children.

As to congresses, the majority were related to the medical-scientific industry, followed by new technologies and those to do with the Knowledge Society. Likewise, a number of seminars related to the business world and entrepreneurs also took place.

Flea markets and charity events, as well as shows and musicals – over 20 – converted the Andalusian congress and tradeshow centres into the cultural and social hub of the region during the autumn, highlighting the versatility of their facilities, which can be adapted to different event formats – for the general public or only professionals – required by companies, administrations, and professional and social stakeholders.
