Andalucia Sabor Returns this September

The second edition of the agricultural and food processing fair, Andalucia Sabor, is scheduled to be held from 22-24 September 2009 at Seville’s Exhibition and Congress Centre (FIBES).

Organized biannually by the Department of Agriculture and Fishing of the Andalusian Regional Government, FIBES will be hosting trade professionals from the restaurant and hotel sectors, and an important number of exhibitors, including the regulatory councils of Andalusia’s quality designations, distributors, restaurant and hotel suppliers, and purchasing offices and chains.

Around 5,000 agricultural and food processing companies are expected to attend the fair, which will be held at FIBES from 22-24 September, generating more than 10,000 business contacts – 1,150 of which were international – registered in the 2007 edition.

Parallel to the fair, an international haute cuisine congress has been organized, centring this year on the cultural and culinary exchanges between Andalusia and America. Entitled “The New Discovery”, representatives of haute cuisine from 21 countries are expected to attend, including some of Spain’s top chefs such as Ferran Adria, Martín Berasategui, Dani Garcia, and Angel Leon.
