The 7th edition of the SME Network Congress (Redepyme) will be held from 13-14 November 2007. This year, the event will take place at the Campo de las Naciones Municipal Congress Centre, located next to IFEMA.

The change of venue is the first new feature of the event, which will be held this year at the Campo de las Naciones Municipal Congress Centre in Madrid. The congress’ intensive programme will include activities and events geared to all the participating SMEs. As in previous editions, besides the Business Centre, where the exhibitors’ stands will be located, there will be a parallel programme with plenary meetings, workshops and conferences.

The congress’ opening address will be given by Maria Teresa Gomez Condado, sub-secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, followed by a series of conferences and debates. Keynote speakers will include Ian MacMilan, a professor at EOI Antonio Fontanini Business School, who will give a talk on Society of the Imagination and Marketing, and Manuel Campo Vidal will be presiding the round table “Profitable Growth Experiences in Redepyme”, in which SME network members will analyse real experiences. The workshops will address the present-day challenges of Spanish SMEs, such as internationalisation, partnerships, equality policies and the importance of creativity as a competitive factor.

The event’s electronic agenda will enable participants to fix appointments with business consultants at designated areas and hold meetings with other businessmen and women attending the congress. As in previous editions, those wishing to showcase products and services will be able to do so at “Speaker’s Corner”, and there will be a webpage creation service at the disposal of network members. One of the congress’ new features is the technological diagnosis service, courtesy of IT experts working for the Plan Avanza, sponsored by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, which will provide congress attendees with an individual analysis of their company and specific technological recommendations for improving business procedures.
