The Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga will host the third round of the Spanish Cruise Cup from 4 to 6 September

The Malaga Sailing Cup regatta, which counts towards the Spanish Cup and the Andalusian ORC Cruise Championship, will be held under all the health safety protocols established by both the organisation of the sporting event and the administrations for the prevention of participants in the face of the Covid-19. The regatta will be held in the bay of Malaga between Friday 4th September and Sunday 6th, under the organization of Eventos Náuticos Costa del Sol and the Real Club Mediterráneo. A security protocol has been drawn up in accordance with that established by the Andalusian Sailing Federation, which guarantees that the race will be run with exceptional security measures.

"All social events have been cancelled and where the social mass and the crew can be grouped together, and we are going to be very strict. The crew will go directly to their boat, being a purely sporting event. The authorities have limited the capacity of the boats with a maximum of 75% of the crew for which the boat is designed, and they have to wear masks at all times. In addition, together with the federations and the Club Mediterráneo we have established a protocol for access and other aspects that have been attached to the regatta instructions", explains Nacho Pastor, the event organiser.

The Malaga Sailing Cup will have its official presentation to the media and authorities on Wednesday, in the Marina of the Real Club Mediterráneo, as will be detailed at the beginning of next week.
