Natura Málaga brings together a wide range of products and services linked to sustainability and well-being with more than 160 companies

Natura Malaga, Healthy and Sustainable Living Fair, celebrates its eleventh edition on 5, 6 and 7 April consolidated as the regional reference meeting linked to the promotion of healthy and responsible habits with the environment.

It brings together a wide range of exhibits from more than 160 companies represented from all over Spain and specialising in certified organic products, food, cosmetics or handicrafts, among others.

Specialized training proposal for all audiences with more than 120 activities focused on wellness, food and care of the environment.

The mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, the provincial deputy for Economic Development and Production, Juan Jesus Bernal, and the manager of Centro Mi Matrona, Juan Fraile, participated today in the inauguration of the eleventh edition of Natura Malaga, Healthy and Sustainable Living Fair, held this weekend in FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Malaga), organizer of the event.

The mayor explained that the hall "has grown 13 percent over the previous year" in terms of exhibition area occupied, so "the prospect is that it also grows in visitors. The alderman has reported that the meeting brings together "more than 160 companies throughout Spain, of which 25 percent come with certified organic products. Along with this, the offer expands to gastronomy and food, complementary techniques for physical and emotional well-being, on breeding or natural cosmetics, among other services. De la Torre added that "this fair has a long way to go from the point of view of its potential", as "the topics covered are of great interest, especially what has to do with the Objectives of Sustainable Development (ODS).

For his part, Bernal, representing the promotional brand 'Sabor a Málaga' of the Diputación de Málaga, commented that Natura Málaga "is a great fair" and that it is "a project that is advancing and going further and further". In this regard, hand in hand with the entity, the autochthonous product takes on greater prominence in the show. Sabor a Málaga', "which brings together the entire agri-food sector of the province, has a very special section to what sustainability and healthy living refers," said the provincial deputy.

Fraile has explained in more detail one of the most emblematic areas of Malaga Natura as is 'Natura Baby' dedicated "to the youngest, babies, children, families who are expecting a baby," described the manager of Centro Mi Matrona. Thus, in the framework of this area will be held the sixth edition of the Forum My Matron where they will be present "Roberto Vidal, who is a nutritional coach, influence social networks, dietitian and nutritionist focused on healthy eating," he said, along with "Emilia de Sousa who is a lawyer and will talk about the rights during maternity, as well as on conciliation.

Natura Malaga has a large exhibition area, and with regard to certified organic product, the offer ranges from food, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, eggs, honey, infusions, cheeses, chocolate, nougat and even macrobiotic confectionery, based on artisan production and the use of high quality ingredients, to natural cosmetics and hygiene products zero residues, shampoos, deodorants or toothpaste solids. It should be noted that during the fair some of the exhibitors will carry out free demonstrations and tastings of their products. Along with this, there is room for other articles and services such as drinks, natural sponges, jewellery and handicrafts, decoration, caravans, bicycles and electric scooters in terms of mobility, duvets and pillows filled with natural silk, water filters or chiropractic services, massage and natural therapies.

As a novelty, the exhibition area, displayed in pavilion 1 of FYCMA, has a new sector dedicated to spatial design with the aim of exploring the benefits of interior design and architecture in the creation of spaces that favour personal well-being. In this sense, companies specializing in lighting, acoustic solutions, kitchen or plants are present. Another of the newest lines in this edition is an exhibition of bonsais that brings attendees to this ancient technique of the hand of the Friends of Bonsai Association of Benalmádena. The meeting hosts a demonstration on how to work the bonsai from its beginnings applying the most suitable techniques for its correct development.

It is necessary to emphasize that the lounge counts on other spaces as the one destined to the crafts or the gastronomical zone, in which four different areas can be found to enjoy an aperitif or food.

 

More than 120 parallel activities

Fully aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDS), Natura Málaga offers a comprehensive proposal to promote environmental care, healthy eating or physical activity. Thus, more than 120 parallel activities make up a complementary agenda for learning new techniques, practical exercises, as well as to reinforce responsible consumption habits. The offer includes conferences and workshops for physical and personal wellbeing organised together with the Naturopathic Collegiate Organisation 'VIX Natura Regeneratrix' Fenaco and the Yoga Studies Institute, for which coaching sessions or sessions on natural and ecological cosmetics, among others, take place. In this area, the participation of the virtual community Mothers Entangled that will show methods, mobile applications and tricks to organize the day to day of mothers and fathers.

On the other hand, the practical workshops have as protagonists the activities linked to techniques and disciplines oriented to improve the physical and emotional well-being, case of tai chi or yoga. The latter will be present in various alternatives such as Chi with yoga, Fisiomyoga, Fitflow Yoga Fusion, Rocket Vinyasa or Yoga Flow.  

Much of the programming is aimed at children and to share with the family. Thus, with the collaboration of the Union of Consumers of Malaga and Aula del Mar there are activities related to crafts around recycling and the use of resources, always from an educational perspective and that promotes responsible consumption. In addition, there is a workshop on first aid for turtles and marine mammals with the aim of promoting the conservation of the marine fauna of the Malaga coastline. In addition, other formative proposals include sensorial workshops with light tables, candle making, recycling and the handling of electric scooters and bicycles. For its part, Huertum will hold workshops to start the urban garden at home.

In addition, the hall hosts specialized talks by experts to address other topics such as food, as well as cooking demonstrations and product tastings. Along with this, attendees can participate in the draw organized by Natura Málaga in which they can get a bicycle courtesy of Navarro Hermanos, batches of ecological products from Granero Integral, a car seat for babies from Toys'R'Us or a batch of cloth diapers from El Nido de Mamá.

The lounge will remain open in the Palace facilities today until 20.30 hours, tomorrow Saturday from 11.00 to 20.30 hours and Sunday 7 from 11.00 to 19.00 hours.

Natura Málaga is organised by FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga), which is dependent on Malaga City Council.
