The third edition of Creativa Málaga, the Handicrafts and Creativity Show, has gathered since Friday more than 7,000 visitors around the largest commercial and training offer in techniques and disciplines linked to decorative arts and creative leisure. The Creative network is consolidated in Malaga as a benchmark for fans and experts in Southern Spain

Workshops, demonstrations, presentations and raffles have been protagonists this weekend in FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga) with the third edition of Creativa Málaga, the reference meeting on crafts and creative leisure. The call, organized jointly by the Malaga venue and the specialized company Conceptum Spain, S.L. -responsible for the Creative Network- has gathered more than 7,000 visitors around a program of more than 200 parallel activities for the whole family, recording on this occasion a significant influx of children.

Creativa Málaga 2019 has been configured as a totally experiential meeting where experts and amateurs have had access to the largest commercial offer of materials and tools for the practice of renewed traditional disciplines and others more avant-garde, such as lettering -the elaboration of personalized typographies-, with great demand today.

Likewise, the show has proposed a revision of emblematic techniques linked to weaving transferred to current tastes, such as knitting, crochet or macramé. Specifically, today's visitors were able to enjoy workshops for making purses or puppets, among other objects. Work with different materials such as clay, wire or porcelain paste have also been the protagonists on the last day, while the creation and decoration of complements and articles for the home have been present with specific formations for the elaboration of pendants, backpacks, bags, flowerpots, lamps, cases or coasters, among many other options.

Techniques such as decoupage - decoration of surfaces with paper or fabrics - or origami - creation of figures through papyroflexia - have delighted adults and children, with different workshops depending on the level of knowledge and skill. In this way, visitors to Creativa Málaga not only have the possibility of accessing highly specialised materials and instruments that are not common in more traditional shops, but also acquire skills, gather ideas and learn new techniques that they can continue to explore on a day-to-day basis.

In this sense, from the organization of Creativa highlight the boom that has taken at present the phenomenon do it yourself as "proposal of leisure and recreation", amplified also by the potential of social networks to exchange experiences and knowledge, and create communities of fans who meet in the salon itself, case of the collectives The World of Quilter, Las Bolilleras de Málaga or Las Tejedoras Murcianas. The kitchen or gardening have also been part of the proposal of Creativa Málaga 2019, with workshops on bonsai care or creative pastries, among others.

These formations have been dynamised by firms, artisans, bloggers or associations such as El Club de Lettering, El Rincón de Ángela-Mariví González, My Granny, Tita Lore, Roroba Origami, Yury Handmade, MyGeckoBox, Bauhaus, Hogar Casasol, La Casa de la Arcilla, Las Cositas de Yola, Geomag-Nanoblock or Tienda Ola Lá.

Visitors to Creativa were also able to take part in different draws for kits by Sweetulasi, La casa de la Arcilla, Amelie Prager, Manos Maravillosas and Ola Lá.  More information in the web http://www.saloncreativa.es/creativa-malaga/ and in the profiles of the salon in Facebook and Twitter @CreativaSpain.
