La Concepcion Historical-Botanical Gardens, which belong to the Environmental Department of Malaga City Council, were created in about 1855 by the Marquis and Marchioness of Loring and subsequently extended by the Echevarria-Echevarrieta family.

Being a heritage building, all the rooms are different, some having panelling, Arab stone or terracotta flooring, antique furniture, etc., although all of them are tastefully decorated in accordance with the building’s style.
