Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel & Resort closes year once again as hotel industry leader in Canaries

In 2016, the Princesa Yaiza (Lanzarote) once again consolidated its position as one of the best hotels in the Canary Isles, as endorsed by different the awards and recognitions that the hotel has received throughout the year.

The Princesa Yaiza’s restaurant and catering service received the largest number of awards – although the property has already received plenty of recognition in this regard including the “Best Hotel Cuisine” and the “Best Hotel Restaurant” in the Canary Isles for its gourmet restaurant Isla de Lobos – featuring the 2016 Gastrocanarias awards for the “Best Chef” and “Best Assistant Chef”, and the “Best Tapa in the Canary Isles” award in the Garachico gastronomic festival, in addition to repeating its candidature for the “Best Hotel Restaurant in the Canary Isles” in the “Qué bueno Canarias” awards, whose ceremony is scheduled to be held in February 2017.

The excellence of the Princesa Yaiza’s Thalasso & SPA Center was also been acknowledged with the “World’s Best Hotel Spa” in the World Luxury SPA Awards, thus making it the only hotel in Lanzarote to obtain this accolade in 2016.

Guest satisfaction also made the Princesa Yaiza worthy of different awards and recognitions from both German and UK tour operators and the world’s top travel and online reputation sites, featuring Trip Advisor’s Traveller’s Choice, which acknowledges the best hotels on the basis of guest scores. The hotel also obtained the highest overall score for online reputation for a 5-star property in the Canary Isles, according to the figures of ReviewPro.

The Princesa Yaiza’s facilities, attention, and guest services also received mentions in the international press, above all in Germany and the UK, with the UK daily The Telegraph including the hotel in its list of the top 10 hotels in the Canary Isles.

The hotel’s décor department was amongst the top 10 in Spain in a floral design competition, and in the area of responsibility the hotel yet again picked up the TUI Umwelt Champion award, certifying environmental responsibility in the property’s daily functioning.
