MIMA Supports Children in Need

The Malaga Children's Fair "MIMA", which will be held at the city's tradeshow and congress centre from 26 December 2008-4 January 2009, will again be making common cause with children in need through its programme "MIMA Solidaria", which in this edition will be offering free access to the climbing wall and the zip wire in exchange for a new toy or one in good condition.

In this way, MIMA will be appealing to the visitors’ Christmas spirit to donate new toys or ones in good condition, which ‘Nuevo Futuro’ will then distribute to needy children in the organization’s ward.

The zip wire and the climbing wall will be located in a 10,000m2 enclosure, along with a broad range of leisure activities geared to children aged between 2-12, featuring a ice rink, jumping area, Father Christmas, kindergarten, videogames, Karaoke, bouncy castles, funfair rides, sporting activities, and performances by clowns, storytellers, magicians and dancers.

Another of the new features of MIMA’08 is the 1st Children’s Drawing Contest for children under 12, whose works of art will be exhibited until 21 December at the house where Picasso was born in the Plaza de la Merced.

There will also be clay, plastiline, painting, hairdressing and recycling workshops, where children can develop their skills while having fun and meeting other children of their age.
