Malaga’s Trade Show and Congress Centre (FYCMA) has recently signed a collaboration agreement with RENFE with the aim of promoting train travel by offering discounts to all the attendees and exhibitors of the congresses, conventions, incentives and seminars organised at FYCMA. The aim is to showcase Malaga as an event destination and the train as the ideal mode of transport for business tourism.

In short, RENFE will offer different discounts on return tickets depending on the type of service. There will be a 25% discount on high-speed train tickets, and one of 30% on long- and medium-haul journeys, and suburban services.

Likewise, FYCMA undertakes to provide a list of events it organises at least two months in advance to allow RENFE to assign an authorisation code to each one so that interested parties can benefit from the discounts.

To help users, FYCMA will post a PDF document with the authorisation code, which will be accessible on registering for an event, on its website and the webpage of each event.

In the agreement, both parties undertake to carry our joint promotional activities, both at the trade show and congress centre and in RENFE’s trains.

In addition, the National Railway Network undertakes to collaborate in those promotional activities of mutual interest whose objective is to promote Malaga as a destination and RENFE’s service as a mode of transport. Likewise, both parties have left the door open to future collaboration agreements related to specific events.
