L’Angle in Sant Fruitos del Bages (Barcelona) and Valdepalacios in Torrico (Toledo) are among the 15 Spanish restaurants that have been awarded their first Michelin star.

At L’Angle, located in the historic complex of Mon St Benet, Jordi Cruz’s cuisine is a mixture of modernity and tradition, based on memory, creativity and quality produce. It just happens that Estany Clar, the restaurant in which he previously worked, has retained its star.

Tierra at Valdepalacios, the first five-star deluxe hotel in Castille-La Mancha, is directed by Ismael Delgado (the restaurant Sant Celoni) and his young, dynamic team, under the supervision of the prestigious chef Santi Santamaria. Tapping local culture, cuisine, produce and wine, Tierra puts know-how and technique at the service of society and progress.

Likewise, La Alqueria at the Hacienda Benazuza in Sanlucar la Mayor (Seville) has retained its two stars, while El Lago in Marbella (Malaga) continues with the one star.
