From 18-20 September 2008, Ibiza's Congress Centre, in Santa Eulalia del Rio, hosted a fam trip for a group of meetings and event professionals from Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the United Kingdom with the aim of showcasing its facilities and services. Likewise, the centre was also chosen as the venue for the annual board meeting of OPC Spain, held on the 20th.
The aim of the event was to show the attendees both the congress centre’s facilities and services and Ibiza’s attractions as a meetings and event destination.
For three days, the congress centre hosted around 120 Spanish and foreign meetings and event professionals. Besides a presentation of the island as a business tourism destination and other activities, the event included a workshop at which the attendees showcased their products and services before a group of local service providers, including transport companies, catering services, event procurement agencies and communication companies.
