The modern Florida Spa Hotel in Fuengirola has recently been awarded the prestigious "Q" for Quality Tourism Certificate by the Spanish Institute for Quality Tourism (ICTE).

Located next to the marina, in the town centre, this modern four-star hotel, which was opened in October 2006, has 184 spacious rooms with terraces, a restaurant, pub, snack bar, outdoor pool (heater in the winter), as well as a fabulous spa centre offering a broad range of treatments and massages.

The “Q” certificate, which is awarded by an independent committee, is given to those hotels that not only implement rigorous quality standards as regards service and internal management, but also actively pursue service excellence and client satisfaction.

In addition, the Yaramar, Angela, Fuengirola Beach, Alay, and San Cristobal have just had their quality certificates renewed after an exhaustive annual audit carried out by independent agencies.

At present, 23 hotels belonging to AEHCOS (Costa del Sol Hoteliers’ Association) have obtained this quality certificate.

Hotel occupancy on the Costa del Sol reaches 72.84% in June 2008
According to figures provided by AEHCOS’ associated hotels, an average hotel occupancy of 72.84% (1,466,863 overnight stays) was registered in June.

Figures are down by 2.04% on those registered in June 2007, when the average occupancy was 74.88% (1,715,126 overnight stays).
