FIBES, Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre, has just hosted the EAIE, European Association for International Education’s (EAIE) 29th Annual Conference & Exhibition from12-15 September 2017, with 6,000 attendees and more than 250 exhibition stands.
Doubtless, this is the most important and largest meeting held at FIBES to date, as it has taken up the whole of FIBES I and FIBES II (more than 200.000sqm).
Seville was chosen to host this year’s Annual EAIE Conference & Exhibition following a comprehensive selection process, including a review of the city’s facilities, the functioning of its public services, and FIBES’ sustainability and environmental protection policies, as well as its technical capacity to run the event.
For the host city, this major event taking place during the meeting and event industry’s low season, has given a boost to the local economy, some sectors like taxis, hotels, shops, buses, catering, etc., benefiting from the high number of delegates staying in the city for more than four days.
