The KLM Open is due to be held at the Kennemer Golf & Country Club in Zandvoort, Holland, from 21-24 August 2008. On the occasion of the 89th edition of the tournament, De Boer has been commissioned to supply more than 10,000m2 of temporary structures to be located in different area of the club.
This will be the third consecutive year that the KLM Open will be held at the Kennemer Club, located in the dunes of Zandvoort, which pose a great challenge as regards levelling out the ground and anchoring the temporary structures.
An Emperor marquee will be erected next to the 14th for VIPs and guests of KLM, KPMG and ABN AMRO. This impressive two-storey structure measuring 20x40m will also have a 300m2 terrace affording guests splendid views of the course.
In addition, several Alu Halls will be used to house the Expo 2008, an exhibition area showcasing the latest in golf equipment and gear, where refreshments will also be served. This year, the exhibition area has been enlarged with a 700m2 double-decker marquee.
Likewise, De Boer will be providing the hospitality marquees – all equipped with terraces – for some of the tournament’s sponsors; the double-decker President marquee being the ideal choice because of its professional finish and the unbeatable views it affords from the top floor. There will also be a press centre, where national and international commentators will be commentating live on the tournament.

From 2-7 September 2008, Amsterdam will be hosting the 15th edition of the HISWA, regarded as Europe’s most important in-water boat show. At this year’s edition, there will be a record-breaking 520 catamarans, yachts and motorboats, among other craft, with a length of between 7-25m.
The show’s entrance has been modified for this year’s edition, comprising an Emperor marquee with a Delta roof, a structures that has never been seen in Holland before. In addition, De Boer will erect 70 marquees on the pontoons and a further 50 on the wharf.
HISWA has recently named De Boer official supplier of temporary structures and other services for the event’s future editions.
