De Boer Commissioned by Telefonica to Provide Hospitality Area for Volvo Ocean Race Team

The 10th edition of the Volvo Ocean Race, the world’s premier offshore yachting event due to start from Alicante on 11 October 2008, will cover a distance of 39,000 nautical miles with stopovers at ports all over the world, including those of Singapore, Rio de Janiero and St Petersburg, among others.

De Boer has been commissioned by Telefonica to erect a hospitality area for its team members. The 20x20m double-decker Emperor structure will feature a fully equipped 5x20m terrace with teak flooring.

The structure will house a merchandising area, as well as a cafeteria, lavatories and office space. On the top floor there will be a fully equipped VIP area, offering team members all the necessary commodities.
