On 21 June, DatacenterDynamics Madrid 2011, the world’s leading data centre event, returns to the Spanish capital for the fourth year running.

With over 32 sponsors already confirmed – leading industry players such as Telefonica, Cisco, Intel (Platinum Sponsor) Climaveneta, Commscope, Emerson, HP, IBM, Interxion (Gold Sponsor), among other – the organizers expect around 800 attendees, 35% up on last year figures (580 attendees).

Five function rooms at the Feria de Madrid convention and congress centre have been set aside for the event’s 35 keynotes, addressing the challenges facing data centre users and operators in Spain, brought about by a complex combination of exponential growth of data, technological advances, energy efficiency, availability and security.

This year, the conference’s one-day programme revolves around three main issues: design, construction and operating; decisions and outsourcing; and IT optimization. The depth and broadness of the event’s programme caters to all data centre professionals, regardless of the post they occupy, allowing them to benefit from the vision of leading global industry players – by means of case studies or technical presentations dealing with how to optimize data centres’ internal and external IT requirements – who will also address these issues from a business standpoint.
