The 24th Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Conference and Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2010 will take place from 5-7 July 2010 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo.

Timely themes and hard-hitting topics will augment this year’s joint event as it takes on a concerted regional focus, attracting eminent speakers, political leaders and diplomats for the technical sessions and panel discussions from across the region. As customary, the keynote speaker at the inauguration is also one of the top features of this year’s event.

This year the summit will tackle a range of topics under the theme: “Facing Global and Local Challenges: The New Dynamics for Economic Development”. The many sessions scheduled address a series of matters including climate change, and how to mitigate its impact on business and economic development, investing in human capital and technology for sustainable economic growth, issues of food security and opportunities in innovative agriculture/plantations, the economic implications of an aging population, and its challenges and opportunities, foreign direct investment opportunities in South Asia, accelerating infrastructure development, fast tracking the economy and FTA’s role in promoting an export economy.
