Granada-based event and logistics company Azafatas Alhambra has been commissioned to provide event staff for BIOSPAIN 2008, Spain’s biggest ever biotechnology congress, which is due to be held from 17-19 September 2008.

Granada will be hosting the fourth edition of the International Biotechnology Convention, BIOSPAIN 2008, from 17th to 19th September 2008, in the city’s congress and exhibition centre. Over 100 biotech exhibitor companies and around 2,000 professionals will be attending a hitherto unprecedented business gathering to forge alliances, present projects, attract capital, develop business and explore new opportunities.

In the congress’ plenary sessions, eminent speakers such as G. Steven Burrill, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw y Kenneth P. Morse will be presenting keynotes addressing the different connections between biotechnology, sustainable development and financial competitiveness.

More than 1,000 delegates from 20 countries and 40 exhibiters attended the third edition of BIOSPAIN, held in Madrid in September 2006.
