ibtm world revamps Hosted Buyer Programme
24/09/2017 - ibtm worldibtm events, part of leading global exhibition organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions, has announced details of some of the high-profile global brands that will be represented by Hosted Buyers attending ibtm world 2017, which takes place at Fira Gran Via Barcelona from 28-30 November 2017.
Hosted Buyers already confirmed include representatives from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Gucci, Mars Incorporated, L’Oreal Active Cosmetics, Microsoft, Montblanc, Philips, Volvo, The LEGO Group, Siemens Ltd., UCI (Santander & BNP Paribas Spain), Burger King UK, Merck and Coriant GmbH.
The announcement followed the launch earlier this year of an enhanced Hosted Buyer programme, which will now see ibtm events pre-selecting and qualifying Hosted Buyers allowing them to be fast-tracked through the process.

A select group of elite invited Hosted Buyers will benefit from a new VIP experience which will include limousine transfers to and from the airport, 5-star accommodation and a more flexible diary of appointments.
Hosted Buyers attending the event benefit from multiple networking opportunities as well as ibtm world’s market-leading Knowledge Programme. A major draw for attendees, the Knowledge Programme will this year be headlined by two high profile keynote speakers, Dame Stella Rimington and Yancey Strickler, and provides attendees with innovative and inspirational educational content.
The sessions have been designed to deliver tangible take-away learnings covering themes including industry trends; safety, security and risk management and professional and staff development, amongst others, and ibtm world is also partnering with MPI Spain to deliver education sessions in Spanish. As well as this, visitors will be able to explore and interact with new and emerging technologies through the event’s Innovation Zone and Technology and Services Zone.
Hosted Buyers at ibtm world also have full access to a structured programme of networking events, which this year includes an 80s themed Welcome Party as a nod to the event‘s 30-year anniversary, Networking Hour where exhibitors offer a show-stopping cultural showcase, and MPI Rendezvous, which will be held at the beach front Opium nightclub.
