YPO –Young Presidents’ Organization–, the global network of young leaders under 50, chose the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB) to hold its Global Leadership Summit (YPO GLS).
From 23-27 February, CCIB hosted the chief annual meeting and workshops of YPO, the global network of young leaders connecting 17,000 executives and their families in over 100 countries. Influential company directors and chairmen for all over the world attended this prestigious event, which has been held in Spain for the first time.
Under the slogan “Leaders for a new world: prospering in any environment”, the 1,500 delegates exchanged ideas and knowledge and discussed business opportunities and future challenges in a framework especially designed to favour dialogue and to prioritize the use of sustainable materials. Discussions at the summit – marking the organization’s 60th anniversary – were centred chiefly on key leadership trends in the environment, globalization and technology.
CCIB was chosen as the venue for the summit by the organizing committee due to its cutting-edge technology and logistics, as well as its size, easy accessibility, flexible facilities and ISO 14001 certification, guaranteeing compliance with environmental regulations.
