Ultramar Express Event Management, TUI Spain's MICE division, has announced the appointments of Susana Morato and Carmen Gutierrez. The aim of these two new engagements is to reinforce the company's event division Ultramar Express, in line with its strategy to provide clients with a full service package by means of a professional and multidisciplinary team.
With a broad experience in the tourist industry and in corporate event planning, Susana Morato has occupied the post of Project Manager in the DMC department of MCI, a Swiss company operating throughout Spain. She has also held the same post at KT Events Incentivos, where she was responsible for co-ordinating the organization of conventions, incentives and corporate meetings.
Likewise, Carmen Guitierrez has been engaged to work in the company’s event division as MICE Manager for the Costa del Sol. A specialist in PR and with a degree in Tourist Enterprise and Activity Management, she has held the post of South European Sales Manager at La Cala Resort, as well as working at Cordova’s Hesperia Hotel, where she was responsible for convention, congress and incentive sales.
Lastly, Ultramar Express Event Management has engaged Philip Cross as Sales Manager for the English-speaking market. Cross has worked for companies as important as the Barcelona International Convention Centre, where he managed client relations above all in the English-speaking market, as well as the multinational Thomson, a subsidiary of the TUI Travel PLC Group, where he occupied several important posts.
