The Nordic Travel Fair, the biggest travel event in Scandinavia in terms of visitors, is expected to attract a record-breaking number of international visitors. The fair is scheduled to be held at the Helsinki Trade Fair Centre from 17-20 January 2008.
In this year’s edition, the area dedicated to active tourism will include a golf section showcasing exclusive destinations and golf services.
First-time exhibitors In addition to a comprehensive selection of domestic destinations, more than 56 countries from around the world will be represented at the fair. First-time exhibitors will include Oman, Panama, Slovakia and Vietnam, as well as the Seychelles and Maldives, while Austria, the Czech Republic and Malta will be returning for a second time.
Last year’s figures In 2007, the fair attracted approximately 86,000 visitors, of which nearly 17,000 were trade professionals and 2,200 from abroad.
