On 17 August 2011, Alejandra Polacci, CEO of "Madrid Excelente", personally awarded La Bola restaurant a commemorative plaque with the license number of the "Madrid Excelente" Quality Mark, which it has held since 2008, certifying that the company complies with excellent management standards. The license is given for a renewable three-year term, with a revision each year.

The award of the "Madrid Excelente" Quality Mark by the Regional Government comes after an exhaustive process of assessment and verification of the business’ main aspects. Likewise, it certifies the commitment of La Bola to innovation, constant improvement, client satisfaction and an active contribution to the economic and social development of the autonomous region of Madrid.
The audit carried out by the Quality Commission of "Madrid Excelente" includes the assessment of three main criteria: excellence, CSR and client satisfaction, and all those improvements introduced by the company on a yearly basis so as retain the "Madrid Excelente" Quality Mark.
