Online since February 2006, Monte Hotels was one of the first Spanish hotel chains to incorporate a corporate blog in its website as a tool to communicate with clients and other web users. In the words of the chain’s top management, now, when the blog has been online for three years, “is the most suitable moment to revamp its design and content.” The Andalusian hotel chain’s blog contains 720 entries, divided into 47 categories.
Together with the new design, the blog’s content has been given a complete overhaul, new features including customer reviews, a tourist guide with descriptions of the main attractions of the cities in which the chain has hotels, Google Maps, and videos of Monte Hotels’ establishments.
The idea is to gradually increase blog content. “At the moment, Monte Hotels’ corporate blog receives over 15,000 visits a month,” according the chain’s top management.
