Font size A-A+Carlos Sanchez Caballero has been appointed to the post of Sales and Marketing Director of the Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB). His main task will be to promote and market, both nationally and internationally, one of Europe’s leading event venues belonging to the prestigious international group GL Events.
Holding a degree in Hotel Management from the University of Barcelona, Sanchez has a long track record in marketing and promoting event hotels on the international market.
To date, he has held the post of Sales and Marketing Director at the five-star Princesa Sofía Gran Hotel, one of the most prestigious in Barcelona. Before that, he occupied the same post at the five-star InterContinental Presidente Hotel in Cancun (Mexico) and Expo Hotels & Resorts, which has several four- and five-star hotels in Spain. He has also worked at the emblematic five-star Arts Hotel in Barcelona, belonging to The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, where he held the post of Revenue Manager and Booking Sales Supervisor.
