On 4 July, Gemma Mengual was the star attraction at the launching in Spain of Nouveau Cologne, a new fragrance by 4711, the start of whose international marketing campaign fell on 04/07/2011. The new unisex fragrance, keyed to a young target audience, was unveiled at a gala event held on the Roof Garden of the Emperador Hotel, attended by a number of celebrities including the novelist Espido Freire, the fashion designer Maria Barros, and the actors and actresses Pepe Sancho – accompanied by his wife, the writer and journalist Reyes Monforte – Elisa Mouliaa, Marcial Alvarez and Inge Martin.

Mengual presented Nouveau Cologne in the hotel's swimming pool during an event blending synchronized swimming, music, lights and audiovisual effects, all against the backdrop of the night skyline of Central Madrid. On arrival, all of the guests walked under a unique arch, in the form 4711's characteristic Molanus bottle, which sprayed them with the new fragrance.
