Font size A-A+Melia Meetings & Events, the chain’s MICE division, has just launched a special promotion for bookings made before 1 September 2011, as part and parcel of its meetings package, offering one attendee free for every 20 paying attendees, with a maximum of four attendees free for every meeting.
The meeting pachage, available on the chain’s website, is a way of simplifying the organization of events at over 100 properties, and includes all basic event services (meeting room, lunch, two coffee breaks and stationary) at very competitive fixed prices, from only €45 per person. Clients can also engage additional services depending on their needs, obtaining a bespoke quote allowing them to control meeting costs.
Despite the crisis, European meetings and event business generated higher revenues for Melia Hotels International in 2010 than in 2009, and the chain has decided to continue innovating as regards promotions and to put the accent on flexibility so as to satisfy new demand trends.
The most popular Spanish destinations with European clients were Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia. As regards the rest of Europe, Berlin, London, Milan, Rome and Dusseldorf were the most sought-after destinations. Lastly, Mexico, Cuba and Brazil were the most popular transcontinental destinations.
In addition, Melia Hotels International has an online meetings & event directory, containing information about specialized MICE hotels, with detailed floor plans and relevant information for planning all types of events.
