Hotasa Hoteles Invests EUR 12 million in Renovating Function Rooms at Gran Hotel Cervantes Renovation work has just been completed on the function rooms of the four-star Gran Hotel Cervantes in Torremolinos (Malaga), a property belonging to the Nueva Rumasa Group’s hotel chain Hotasa Hoteles. With an overall investment of EUR 1.2 million, the aim has been to modernize the hotel’s 1,000m2 of congress, convention and incentive facilities, equipping them with the latest in audiovisual systems.

Hotasa Hoteles continues to implement its wide-reaching renovation policy geared to modernizing and boosting the competiveness of its properties located in the Andalusian provinces of Malaga and Huelva, as well as in the Canary and Balearic Islands.

So, after completing the first phase last year with the renovation of the rest of the Gran Hotel Cervantes’ facilities (guest rooms, kitchens, garage, lobby and communal areas), the chain has modernized the property’s 1,000m2 of meeting facilities with the aim of strengthening its MICE area.

Important personages, representatives of the tourist industry (PCOs, event planners and incentive houses), and provincial officials attended the opening of the Gran Hotel Cervantes’ new function rooms on 1 October, to see for themselves the property’s new facilities, combining quality and innovation, the chain’s hallmark.

The installation of new air conditioning and fire prevention systems, improving the electrical installation and kitchen equipment, the installation of moveable panels between the function rooms, and the installation of a new PA system and projectors are just some of the improvements that have made to the hotel’s function rooms, which have a modern, functional décor characterizing the rest of the property’s facilities.

Thanks to all these improvements, the property now offers more versatile event facilities, equipped with cutting-edge technology, with a capacity of up to 800 delegates/guests, suitable for all kinds of corporate and private events. The hotel also has a highly qualified planning team to help clients organize and stage any kind of event, providing them with advice before, during and after each conference, presentation, seminar, congress or family celebration.

Special launch promotion
On the occasion of the opening of these new facilities, Hotasa Hoteles has launched a special promotion: the chain will cover 10% of the cost of any event (minimum of 50 people) booked at the Gran Hotel Cervantes before next summer; which goes to show the special accent that the chain has always put on personalized client hospitality.

Located in the chief commercial and leisure area of Torremolinos (Malaga), only a short distance from the beach, the Gran Hotel Cervantes has been transformed into one of the most modern properties on the Costa del Sol. Designed for both holidaymakers and business tourists, the hotel has 397 guest rooms with terraces affording sea views, leisure areas, gardens, two swimming pools (one outdoor and one heated), á la carte restaurant, buffet restaurant, snack bar, bar and barbeque during the summer months.
